Piccolo
Piccolo Music provides friendly fun music and song sessions for babies and young children, starting from
birth upwards.
Lap songs, swinging songs, play songs and lullabies, with gentle guitar accompaniment - a lovely opportunity to meet other new parents, socialise if you want to, and enjoy being with your baby. Even if they are asleep/feeding you get to sing, meet and make new friends and learn lots of ways to entertain your baby.
Bring a friend or relative for company if you like, you only pay for the baby (£4 per session) and refreshments for you and them are all included.
Drop in sessions, no booking or commitment. Experienced Early Years Music leaders run the sessions and you can join in as much as you like – no pressure, just enjoy your baby!
About us
Abi Cotton and Anna Scantlebury, set up Piccolo Music in 2000 to provide interactive singing and music sessions for babies and children, in a relaxed, friendly environment, giving carers a chance to meet friends and enjoy playing with their children.
Their aim is to help people to sing with their children, and to enjoy music with them. Sessions are ‘live’ with Anna playing guitar and Abi showing actions and encouraging participation from children and adults alike. Their hallmark is spontaneity and an ability to respond to the children and adults in the group, so the singing is always fresh and full of fun.
Much of the material is written by Anna and Abi, who are now in demand for their inspiring training and consultancy for professionals in the Early Years / health sector.
