The Birth & Baby Network is all about supporting and promoting small local businesses who provide excellent support, services and products. Bare Bodycare is a fantastic new local business and news about it needs
shouting from the rooftops…
North Tyneside mum Cath Parks developed her business out of a love of natural skin and hair products and a desire to find natural products to use on her own baby son. After a period of training Cath develop a range of natural and incredibly gentle baby skincare products and Bare Bodycare was born.
Only natural ingredients are used in the products, which have all completed cosmetic safety assessments, and care has also been put into the packaging to ensure the products are hygienic and convenient to use. There are three beautiful products currently available to use on your babies (or you!)…
Baby Body Butter
The baby body butter was developed to provide a natural alternative to the petroleum based products on the market. This is 100% natural and designed to glide easily onto the skin. It is rich in protective shea butter and includes beeswax to ‘seal in’ moisture. It also comes in really easy to use packaging – a twist up tube – so it is easy to carry around and prevents spills and wastage. The tube also prevents contamination of the butter by mucky little (or big!) hands.
Hair and body wash bar
After juggling a (slippery and wriggly) baby and shampoo bottles in the bath, the thought ‘there must be an easier and safer way to do this’ inspired the baby wash bar. Cath has developed an easy to use baby soap and hair wash bar, which is incredibly gentle, using a combination of pure oils and shea butter to cleanse and protect.
Every bar is also cured and dried for a minimum of 4 weeks, to make sure it is long lasting and incredibly mild.
And using the wash bar means no more struggling with bottles, no wastage with unnecessary excess product on the hair or skin, and more room in the swim bag/holiday suitcase. It also means less plastic!
Bath tea
Bath teas are a fantastic way to get the benefit of herbs into your bath without all the mess. These bath teas are filled with dried chamomile flowers and calendula petals for their beautiful subtle aroma and soothing and healing properties.
Each ‘tea bag’ is individually filled and sealed by hand and you just drop one directly into your baby’s bath to ‘infuse’ before using the water.
