First Aid for Parents
Our next Parents First Aid will be held at The Play Station in Gosforth on 10th August 2011 - 10am till 2pm
We are able to offer Childcare Supervision FREE of charge, please indicate on the booking form if you require this service and also the age of the children.
Please also note that children will have to pay for entry into The Play Station at a reduced cost of £2 per child. Childcare supervision will be provided by Kids Deserve the Best.
As parents ourselves, we know the importance of knowing what to do in the event of an Accident or Emergency. No one likes to think of childhood accidents or emergencies, but its inevitable that children of all ages get into scrapes, hurt themselves and become poorly. As a parent would you know what to do?
Here at Blue Tiger, we understand how daunting this thought is, so we have developed a course for parents to learn about First Aid and common illnesses that involve infants and children. This course is light hearted and fun, by the end of it, you will be amazed with what you have learnt!
The course is designed for Parents, Grandparents, family members and guardians…… anyone over 16 years old can really benefit from this course.
Courses will be run over 4 hours. Content is guided by Instructor; however we are very flexible and can diversify to meet your requirements on the day.

Managing the Emergency
Basic Life Support of Infants & Children (CPR)
The Unconscious casualty & Recovery Position
Management of Choking
Wounds & Bleeding
Fractures & Shock
Burns & Scalds
Asthma
Meningitis
Anaphylaxis (Allergic Reaction)
First Aid kits
Courses will encompass both theory and practical application, we encourage you to join in and have fun, but don’t worry we don’t push you into anything.
Upon successful completion of this course, every candidate will be issued a Certificate of Attendance and will receive a personal resuscitation shield (for use in the event of an emergency, after the course).
